Nairobi: Lang'ata's member of parliament and son of a historic figure in Kenya's nationalism, Raila Odinga, plans to unfold a major launch of his latest quest to get Kenya's presidential seat.   | Video

He is the son of the first Vice President of Kenya the late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, the latter a compatriot of the legendary jomo Kenyatta. According to the East African Standard after riveting attention to himself through such stylish political antics as his pre-World Cup matches' pan-Africanist advertisement, then the Hummer story, and launch of a personal autobiography and website, this time round Raila is going for what may make Kenyans talk for a long time. Invitations have been sent out, reportedly to among others, President Kibaki and his predecessor Mr. Daniel arap Moi. The event will hold at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre in Nairobi. Raila was until November 23, 2005 a Cabinet Minister in the Ministry of Roads, Public Works and Housing.
